After allotting the symbol, the candidates of Khulna Divisional Awami League have started their election campaign from Hazrat Khanjahan Ali’s (Rah.) Satgumbuj Mosque. The leaders and workers of the party officially started the election campaign of the 11th National Assembly through rallies and mass processions.
On Monday morning the Returning Officer allotted the symbols among the candidates. The campaign started under the leadership of Sheikh Helal Uddin MP, Khulna Divisional Coordinator of Awami League in the Eleventh Parliamentary Election.
The mass procession led by two Awami League candidates Bangabandhu family members Sheikh Helal Uddin and Sheikh Sarhan Naser Tanmoy in Bagerhat-1 and 2 constituencies turned into a sea of people.
At a pre-procession rally at the Awami League office premises in Bagerhat, Sheikh Helal Uddin MP said that in order to continue the trend of development, the Awami League under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina must be brought to power by winning the elections. For this, every leader and activist of the party has to go from house to house and present the picture of the development of the government as well as the mass communication in favor of the boat by highlighting the terrorism-militancy and corruption of BNP-Jamaat.
Awami League central leader SM Kamal Hossain, Khulna city mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleq, third generation of Bangabandhu family and Awami League candidate for Bagerhat Sadar constituency Sheikh Sarhan Naser Tanmoy, Mir Shawkat Ali Badshah spoke in the presidency. The procession, which started from Bagerhat’s railroad, is about one and a half kilometers long and encircles the city’s main thoroughfares.
