These Celebrities Really Make a Difference

" \n We are often fascinated by celebrities because of their presence on the screen or stage, but for these celebs, their work isn\u2019t done when the performance ends. Not only does their \u201cday job\u201d impact our lives, but they also strive to make a difference with considerable donations to charities that benefit society as a whole. While many celebrities use charity work as a PR stunt other public figures have devoted a huge portion of their lives to giving back and have done so consistently throughout their careers. Here is a list of celebrities that continue to give back and help restore our faith in humanity. \n \n\n \n Elton John \n \n\n \n Photo by anyamuse \/ Shutterstock.com \n \n\n \n Elton John is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) contributors to AIDS research. He founded the Elton John AIDS Foundation in the \u201980s. His passion for this project came after witnessing many close friends fall victim to this disease. He has made crucial donations over the years to over 50 charity organizations. His entrance into charity work began in the 1980s with his participation in the Conspiracy Of Hope tour for Amnesty International. He has been a huge advocate for human rights, proper economics, AIDS research and awareness, fighting poverty, and quite a bit more. Clinton. He established the nonprofit, Clinton Foundation, to tackle issues in health, safety\/security, economic stability, eliminate prejudice, and environmental issues. They have been a loud voice for refugees all over the world and are frequently working with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). They have also formed the Jolie-Pitt Foundation to fight poverty, wildlife conservation, protection of natural resources, and general humanitarian causes. He established The Rainforest Foundation to help protect the Amazon rainforest from mass-eradication. Unlike other organizations that are devoted to this cause, it focuses mainly on protecting the rights of the indigenous populations that inhabit this area. She works very closely with the Susan G. Komen foundation and promotes breast cancer awareness very heavily on her show during the month of October. She is one of the biggest advocates of animal rights and passionately fights against animal abuse. He is also an advocate for the Gentlemen\u2019s Fund, an organization that strives to encourage men to seek intellectual and sophisticated outlets in order to better themselves and society. His biggest endeavor has been protecting animal rights. She also focuses on child abuse, rape prevention, education, the environment, and too many other charities to name. His biggest passion is preventing the heinous atrocities to those who can\u2019t defend themselves; he co-founded the Not On Our Watch with friends Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle, Jerry Weintraub, and Matt Damon whose mission is to \u201cgenerate lifesaving humanitarian assistance and protection for the vulnerable, marginalized, and displaced.\u201d He plays a crucial role in creating mainstream awareness to address human rights crimes in various parts of Africa like Sudan, South Sudan, Congo, Somalia, and areas controlled by the Lord\u2019s Resistance Army.
