This yellow and black cross-banded snake is unlikely to be confused with anything else. Found in Australia, this specimen has a fearsome reputation because of its aggressive nature and toxic venom. But that’s not all. They can stay underwater for almost 10 minutes and they hunt during the day so, you will need to keep your wits about you when out in the Australian wild. They are also known cannibals and will consume their own. Because of its neurotoxic venom, just one bite and you will need medical attention within minutes.
