First Woman Chief Minister of India – Sucheta Kriplani: Sucheta Kriplani, freedom fighter and politician, was India’s first woman Chief Minister, serving as the head of the Uttar Pradesh government from 1963 to 1967. Born in Ambala on June 25, 1908, studied at Indraprastha College and Panjab University and later become a Professor of Constitutional History at Banaras Hindu University. She actively participated in the Quit India Movement and later worked closely with Mahatma Gandhi. She was also the founder of All India Mahilla Congress in 1940.
