Indian Premier League 2017: VIVO 2017 IPL is the most watched cricket tournament. Indian Premier League also known as IPL is now entering its 10th season to witness VIVO IPL 10. 2017 season will start from 3rd of April and continue till 26th of May 2017. The first match of IPL 10 will have the IPL 5 winner Kolkata Knight Riders battling against Delhi Daredevils. The premier and finale matches of 2017 IPL will be hosted by Eden Gardens- home ground of Shah Rukh Khan owned Kolkata Knight Riders. 2017 IPL season will have total of 72 matches in the entire championship. The matches would either start from 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m. Besides, there will be a 1st Qualifier round, an eliminator Round and 2nd Qualifier Round followed by the Final match..

The franchises ahead of the 10th season of IPL have released a total of 63 players. Rising Pune Supergiants have released 11 players, while Kings XI Punjab have let go just four players. All the released players will now go into the new auction pool. Defending champions SRH have also released six players.

MS Dhoni led Pune franchise have released overseas players like Kevin Pietersen, Thisara Perra, George Bailey and Albie Morkel. Prominent names that have been released by other franchises includes, Dale Steyn, Amit Mishra, Mitchell Johnson, Kyle Abbott, Colin Munro, More Morkel, Corey Anderson, Martin Guptill, Eoin Morgan, Trent Boult, Varun Aaron and Chris Jordan.
