Apple rabri is one of the most loved Indian sweets that can be prepared at home using a few ingredients. The goodness of apple makes the traditional rabri nutritious and this makes it a perfect dessert for those fasting during navratri.

You can customise this delicious dessert according to your taste. Top it with your favourite nuts and enjoy a bowl. If you think it will be really difficult to prepare this sweet at home then let us correct! It may be the easiest dessert you can prepare at home.

Ingredients

  • 4 Apples
  • 1 lt milk
  • 4 tbsp Sugar
  • Dry fruits of your choice
  • Saffron strands
  • Green cardamom powder

Instructions

Step 1In a heavy bottom pan, add milk. Let it boil till it reaches half of the total quantity.Step 2Wash apples and grate them. Keep aside.Step 3Add sugar and grated apples to the milk. Make sure you keep the flame low.Step 4Next add dry fruits of your choice – almonds, cashew nuts, pistachios, raisins, pine nuts.Step 5Now add saffron strands to the milk.Step 6Sprinkle cardamom powder and mix well.Step 7

Stir and switch off flame. Don’t forget to top it with some apples and dry fruits.
