Amid ongoing debate over the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act 2019, singer Adnan Sami has slammed Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan over his recent remarks on the act. The singer took to Twitter and in a series of tweets, thrashed Pak PM’s claims, saying that if they are advocating about Muslims, then they should accept that Muslims wanting to leave Pakistan defeats the basic purpose of its existence. He further went on to add that if they are really worried about them, then they should open the borders. In another tweet, Adnan also wrote, ‘And much to your disappointment, Muslims are very proud and happy here!’ The singer’s tweets come after Imran Khan in a tweet accused the Indian government of moving systematically with some hidden agenda. Adnan, who was granted Indian citizenship in the year 2015, was previously a citizen of Pakistan.
